Daisy, our English language assistant
Each week the British international section pupils look forward to their lesson with Daisy, our language assistant. Daisy grew up in Manchester and went to university in Scotland, so she has been teaching us all about the culture of these places. Activities have included writing a love poem to our favourite dish in imitation of Robert Burns’ ‘Address to a Haggis,’ picture dictation based on Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s artwork and inventing our own coat of arms inspired by Manchester’s bee symbol.
Daisy also works with two year 9 classes, helping them to improve their fluency through games and interactive tasks.
